Unique to Embodiment MedSpa is that we have a board certified plastic surgeon on site. Med Spas are gaining in popularity and must have a medical director in place but that does not mean that the physician has to specialize in plastic surgery or that the doctor directly works out of the office. Many physicians boast the they are board certified cosmetic surgeons but please realize that there is no cosmetic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties.

Dr. Mendoza is our medical director and a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with an M.D. from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in plastic surgery at Wayne Sate University in Detroit and a residency in general surgery at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Mendoza completed a Plastic Surgery Fellowship at the prestigious Manhattan, Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital. He also successfully completed fellowships in Burn as well as Hand and Microvascular Surgery.
Dr. Mendoza has contributed to numerous research studies and publications in plastic surgery and burn wound care. In all of his work, he strives to provide the highest quality of health care for his patients and the best possible aesthetic results to all whom he treats. Dr. Mendoza emphasizes that he takes great care in ensuring that the patient is well informed about the procedure that they are considering in order to achieve greater overall patient satisfaction.
Dr. Mendoza is married with two children. He enjoys skiing, traveling and spending time with his family. He is an avid sports fan, especially the Tampa Bay Lightning. GO BOLTS! Dr. Mendoza is also fluent in English and Spanish.

Lo is a Certified Medical Assistant and a trained Surgical Assistant. She also manages our Physician Supervised Weight Loss Program with 12 years experience in the weight loss industry. Lo has a Bachelor's of Science from the University of South Florida and is a registered Pharmacy Technician. Lo knows that a patient's experience and comfort level with their medical professional that guides them through their medical experience from consultation, pre-op, surgery through post op visits are key to building confidence and trust in their decision and happiness with the overall outcome.
